Worried About Your Password Software And iCloud Security? Should you be?

If you’re not worried about your online safety including your iCloud security, you probably should be. According to the Australian Government and Apple themselves, there’s been a major breach of security regarding Apple and iCloud, hot on the heels of the eBay problem. Password software has never been more needed.

PasswordSoftware

“Impacted users should change their Apple ID password as soon as possible and avoid using the same user name and password for multiple services,” said Apple, adding, “Any users who need additional help can contact AppleCare or visit their local Apple Retail Store.”

To update your password and check your security, you can visit id.apple.com and click on the ‘Manage Apple ID’ link. Login and then activate the ‘two step verification’, which causes Apple to send a message to all your registered devices with a special number.

The best password software I’ve found is Lastpass.com which is free, and if you’re happy to pay, 1Password.com. I actually use them both… although either would do the trick. So stop worrying about iCloud security and get organised by updating your passwords so they’re all different and secure – then remember them with safe password software.
